Shipped the new onboarding flow to staging — would love eyes before we roll it out 👀
Everything your team needs to talk
The essentials, done well — and a few things that make the day smoother.
Channels
Organized spaces for every team, project, and topic — public or private, plus announcement-only channels for broadcasts.
Direct messages
1:1 and group DMs with typing indicators, reactions, and threads — right where the conversation happens.
Huddles
Drop into a live audio & video huddle with screen sharing — no meeting link required.
Threads
Keep side conversations tidy — reply in a thread and the main channel stays readable.
Polls
Ask the room with /poll — multiple choice, anonymous voting, and auto-close.
Search
Find any message, file, or person in seconds, with filters by channel and author.
Notifications
Tune what pings you per channel, mute the noisy ones, and pause notifications to focus.
Fast & keyboard-first
A command palette, global shortcuts, and a snappy UI that keeps up with you.
Every conversation, organized
Channels for teams and topics, threads to keep side chats tidy, and announcement channels when you just need to broadcast.

Looks great on mobile too 🎉
One nit on the empty state — dropping a comment.
Talk it out in a huddle
Start a live audio & video huddle in any channel or DM, share your screen, and jump out just as fast. No links, no scheduling.
Decide together with polls
Run a quick /poll — multiple choice, anonymous voting, live results, and auto-close when the window's up.
Let's lock the offsite location — vote below! 👇

Questions, answered
Is Sangria open source?
Yes. Sangria is open source and self-hostable — run it on your own infrastructure so your workspace and its data stay yours.
What platforms can I use it on?
A full web app plus native apps — the macOS desktop app is available today, with Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android in progress.
Do I need to install anything?
No — Sangria runs in any modern browser. Install the desktop or mobile apps whenever you want the native experience; it's the same account either way.
Can I move over from another chat tool?
Yes. Sangria includes an importer (for example, from Mattermost) that brings your channels, messages, and history across.
How much does it cost?
Because Sangria is open source and self-hostable, you can run it yourself for free — no per-seat pricing, and you control where it lives.
